Dans le cadre de la coopération entre la Chine et le Bénin, 20 véhicules pick-up et autres équipements de haute technologie ont été mis à la disposition de la Police républicaine ce mercredi 11 février 2026.

La Chine appuie les efforts du Bénin dans le domaine de la lutte contre l'insécurité, à travers un don de matériel roulant et d'équipements. La cérémonie officielle de remise a lieu ce mercredi 11 février en présence de Zhang Wei, ambassadeur de la République populaire de Chine au Bénin, et Alassane Séïdou, ministre de l'intérieur et de la sécurité publique.
D'un montant total de 1,562 milliard de francs CFA, le don offert est composé de 20 véhicules pick-up neufs équipées de gyrophares, 2500 gilets pare-balles KT11, 2500 casques de protection et d'importants équipements techniques et stratégiques. L'inspecteur technique de la police républicaine, le contrôleur général Major Aristide Dagou, représentant le directeur général de la police, a promis un bon usage des équipements mis à disposition.
