OSCE organizes Dialogue Platform on Counteracting Trafficking in Human Beings

On 17 December 2024, the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe, in co-operation with the Centre for Combatting Trafficking in Persons under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, hosted the second Dialogue Platform on Counteracting Trafficking in Human Beings (CTHB) for the year. The event brought together government officials, members of the Inter-Ministerial Commission on CTHB, representatives from civil society, and international organizations.

The discussions focused on significant achievements in the implementation of Tajikistan’s National Action Plan on CTHB (2022-2024), as well as recent findings from monitoring efforts supported by the OSCE. These findings highlighted both progress made and areas needing streamlining the anti-trafficking measures at the local level. Looking ahead, participants reviewed the draft National Action Plan on CTHB for 2025-2027, reaffirming Tajikistan’s commitment to preventing and combating human trafficking in all its forms.

This initiative is in line with Tajikistan’s commitments to the OSCE regarding the prevention and combatting of all forms of human trafficking.

Americas Lockheed Martin won a $33.8 million contract modification for the procurement of four test controller processors and ten infrared receivers in support of the F/A-18 aircraft. All work will be performed in Orlando, Florida, and work will be completed by November 2025.  Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is the contracting activity. The US Air Force’s Tyndall Air Force Base is equipping aircrew with chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) gear for enhanced combat readiness. All current and new pilots of the 325th Operations Support Squadron Aircrew Flight Equipment Flight (AFE) will be fitted and trained to wear the newly-developed specialized equipment by February 2025. The squadron supports F-35 pilots and is part of the 325th Operations Group, the Florida base’s operating unit and host wing. Middle East & Africa MVL Saudi Builders won a $29.4 million firm-fixed-price contract for design and construction of shore-to-ship utilities. Bids were solicited via the internet with two received. Work will be performed in Lebanon, with an estimated completion date of December 29, 2029. Le ministre d'Etat, ministre de l'Economie et des Finances est le toit de la gestion de l'économie des États en Afrique. Pour la cinquième année consécutive, il vient en tête du Top 5 des ministres de l'économie en Afrique. C'est ce que révèle Financial Afrique dans sa parution 116 du 15 Décembre au 15 février.
Selon le journal, Romuald Wadagni est suivi de Nadia Alaoui du Maroc, de Adama Coulibaly de la Côte d'iVoire, Vera Daves de Sousa de l'Angola puis de Louis Paul Motaze du Cameroun. Voici ce qui est écrit sur le ministre du Bénin.
Notation : Le Bénin est souvent cité en exemple pour ses réformes économiques et bénéficie de notations favorables. En avril 2024, la note du pays est passée de B+ à BB- avec perspective positive, soit au même niveau que la Côte d'iVoire.
Endettement : Politique de dette bien structurée, avec des financements intelligents sur les marchés. Endettement estimé à 54,5% du PIB et devant passer en deça de 50% à partir de 2026.
Inflation : estimée à 1% et stable grâce à une gestion macroéconomique rigoureuse.
Croissance : Le Bénin devrait voir sa croissance se stabiliser à 6,2% entre 2024 et 2026, résultat des réformes structurelles.
Leadership : Wadagni est perçu comme un visionnaire, ayant gagné plusieurs distinctions pour son efficacité. L'émission réussie en février 2024 d'un eurobond inaugural de 750 millions en dollars à échéance 14 ans témoigne de l'esprit d'innovation des équipes du ministère béninois des Finances.

The Council and Parliament today reached a provisional agreement to simplify certain reporting requirements in the field of financial services and investment support. The new regulation will reduce administrative burden for authorities in the financial sector, by simplifying existing rules on data sharing between the European Supervisory authorities (ESAs) and other financial sector authorities and by limiting new reporting requirements.
