The President of the European Council, António Costa, visited Lisbon (Portugal) on 12 June 2025 to deliver a speech at the ceremony of the 40th anniversary of Portugal signing the Accession Treaty.

The Council listed three individuals and one entity responsible for undermining democracy and the rule of law in Guatemala.

European Council President António Costa invited leaders to the meeting of 26-27 June 2025 in Brussels, during which they will discuss how to build a more competitive, safer and more autonomous Europe for our citizens, and to ensure that the European Union can be an effective, predictable and reliable global actor.

PRAG – Tschechien will eine der "KI-Gigafabriken" im eigenen Land sehen, die Europa im Bereich der Künstlichen Intelligenz konkurrenzfähig machen sollen. Man sei in fortgeschrittenen Gesprächen, heißt es aus Regierungskreisen.

On 17 June, immediately after publication, Commissioner for Defence and Space Andrius Kubilius will present the Defence omnibus to the SEDE Members. This omnibus, announced in the White Paper, proposes amendments to simplify the legal and administrative framework in order to address obstacles and bottlenecks hindering a rapid ramping up of the defence industry and thereby strengthening European defence.
