Die öffentliche Debatte um Sonderklagerechte für ausländische Investoren reißt nicht ab. Unterdessen streiten deutsche und europäische Politik über die Unterstützung eines verbindlichen UN-Vertrags zu Menschenrechtsverletzungen durch Konzerne.

In Europa wurde 2018 mehr erneuerbare Energie in die Netze eingespeist. Gleichzeitig sank der Steinkohleanteil deutlich. Schwieriger scheint sich der Braunkohleausstieg zu gestalten.

Euro area members have been asked to submit nominations of candidates to replace European Central Bank Executive Board member Peter Praet, whose term ends on 31 May. The Eurogroup President has received one name: Ireland proposed the Central Bank of Ireland Governor, Philip Lane.
