Der Rat hat Schlussfolgerungen zum Thema „Horn von Afrika“ angenommen, in denen die EU ihre Entschlossenheit bekräftigt, ihre strategischen Beziehungen zu der Region am Horn von Afrika zu intensivieren und eine neue Strategie für die Region festzulegen.

The Council today adopted a regulation to strengthen the EU civil protection mechanism. The new rules will allow the EU and the member states to better prepare for disasters and to respond faster when they strike.

Der Rat hat vier Rechtsakte zur Ergänzung des Rechtsrahmens für „Horizont Europa“ angenommen. Sie betreffen das Spezifische Programm zur Durchführung von „Horizont Europa“, das Euratom-Programm, das Europäische Innovations- und Technologieinstitut (EIT) und die Strategische Innovationsagenda (SIA).

The Council adopted conclusions on security and defence affirming its determination to move forward on implementing the EU's security and defence agenda, enabling the EU to take more responsibility for its own security.

Der Rat hat eine Verordnung zur Aktualisierung des EU-Systems für die Kontrolle der Ausfuhr, der Vermittlung, der technischen Unterstützung, der Durchfuhr und der Verbringung betreffend Güter mit doppeltem Verwendungszweck angenommen.
