During the handover ceremony, incoming European Council President Charles Michel thanked outgoing President Donald Tusk for his work during his mandate expiring on 30/11/2019.

Spanien und Chile hoffen, dass der Klimagipfel (COP25) dazu dienen wird, eine neue Phase der Bekämpfung der Klimakrise einzuleiten, die nicht nur von den Zentralregierungen getragen wird, sondern alle Verwaltungen, die Gesellschaft insgesamt sowie den Privat- und Produktionssektor einbezieht.
