In his debrief to the European Parliament on the March European Council, President Michel highlighted the main topics discussed by the EU leaders including support to Ukraine and EU’s competitiveness. The economic and financial situation was discussed during a Euro Summit in inclusive format.

Ideiglenes megállapodás jött létre az Európai Unió Kábítószerügyi Ügynökségéről szóló rendeletről. A Tanács és az Európai Parlament megállapodott arról, hogy a Kábítószer és a Kábítószer-függőség Európai Megfigyelőközpontját teljes jogú ügynökséggé alakítják át, és megerősítik a szerepét.

A Tanács a mai napon megállapodásra jutott a tárgyalási álláspontjáról (az ún. általános megközelítéséről) két olyan javaslatot illetően, amelyek meghatározzák a megújuló gázokra és a földgázra, valamint a hidrogénre vonatkozó közös belső piaci szabályokat. E jogszabályok annak megtervezésére irányulnak, hogy a gázágazat a 2050-ig megvalósítandó uniós klímasemlegességi célkitűzés elérése érdekében miként álljon át megújuló és alacsony szén-dioxid-kibocsátású gázokra, különösen biometánra és hidrogénre.
