Estonia's government is facing a storm of indignation following homophobic remarks made by Interior Minister Mart Helme during an interview. Helme, the founder and long-time leader of the far-right Ekre party, said he didn't take a "friendly" view of homosexuals and that they should go to Sweden. Prime Minister Jüri Ratas rebuked Helme in a Facebook post - but journalists say this is not enough.

After the summit meeting in Brussels British PM Boris Johnson on Friday once again threatened to go through with a hard Brexit. Further talks are pointless if the EU doesn't fundamentally change its stance, he said. In the meantime EU Chief Negotiator Michel Barnier will once again meet with his British counterpart David Frost on Monday in London. Journalists still believe there could be a last-minute deal.

Following a public outcry the Dutch royal family has returned from a holiday in Greece after just one day. While the Netherlands is in partial lockdown and restaurants and other facilities have had to close for at least four weeks, King Willem-Alexander and his family had flown in a government plane to the Peloponnese region, where they own a villa.
