European Council

Negotiators from the Council presidency and the European Parliament reached a provisional agreement on the capital requirements directive and the capital requirements regulation, the two remaining pieces of the Commission’s 2021 banking package and legislation required to complete the implementation of the Basel III international agreements into EU law.

The Council extends the mandate of EUBAM Libya, EUBAM Rafah and EUPOL COPPS, and adjusts the mandate of EUBAM Libya.
