The Council adopted a revision of the Memorandum of Understanding with the US regarding the import of beef from animals not treated with certain growth-promoting hormones into the EU.

President Donald Tusk met President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili in Batumi. During their meeting, they discussed the strong EU-Georgia relations and how to further develop them.

President Donald Tusk delivered a keynote speech at the 16th Batumi International Conference dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Eastern Partnership.

At a press statement with President Aliyev in Baku, President Tusk reconfirmed EU's readiness to further deepen the cooperation with Azerbaijan. They also discussed the unresolved Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the issue of human rights.

The Council adopted contingency measures on the implementation and financing of the 2019 EU budget in the event of a no-deal Brexit.
