Der Rat hat eine Verordnung verabschiedet, die Personalausweise von EU-Bürgerinnen und -Bürgern sowie Aufenthaltsdokumente, die ihnen und ihren Familienangehörigen aus Drittstaaten ausgestellt werden, sicherer macht.

Rat verabschiedet mehrjährigen Bewirtschaftungsplan für die Fischerei auf Grundfischarten im westlichen Mittelmeer.

Vereinfachte Vorschriften für die Ausbildung von Seeleuten und die Erteilung von Befähigungszeugnissen für Seeleute werden dazu beitragen, weiterhin ein hohes Maß an Sicherheit auf See zu gewährleisten und Meeresverschmutzung zu verhüten; zudem wird es für Seeleute einfacher, sich innerhalb der EU frei zu bewegen.

Eine Unmenge von Daten des öffentlichen Sektors wird leichter zugänglich sein, sodass die Daten als Rohmaterial für künstliche Intelligenz und andere fortgeschrittene Digitaltechnologien weiterverwendet werden können.
