EU ambassadors today agreed a negotiating mandate on a proposal to strengthen the EU civil protection mechanism.

European Council President Charles Michel and President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani, current Chair of the G5 Sahel, co-chaired the high-level video conference on 30 November 2020. The Secretary General of the United Nations and the African Union Commission Chairperson also participated.

Meeting via video conference on 30 November, the members of the Stabilisation and Association Council (SA Council) reviewed Kosovo’s progress on its European path following the publication of the European Commission’s 2020 Report on Kosovo.

The Eurogroup adopted a statement on Greece. It confirms that the necessary conditions are in place to confirm the release of the fourth tranche of policy-contingent debt measures.
