The EU issued a statement condemning in the strongest terms the execution in Iran of Swedish-Iranian national Habib Chaab and recalling yet again its strong opposition against the application of capital punishment in any circumstance.

The Council agreed on €1 billion support for Ukraine under the European Peace Facility to finance the provision of 155-mm-calibre artillery rounds and, if requested, missiles which will be jointly procured by EU member states from the European defence industry.
